Abacus Dental Centre has developed a COVID-19 safety plan including policies, protocols, and procedures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and to protect our patients and staff.
Our COVID-19 safety plan includes the following measures:
- Frequent and rigorous cleaning and disinfection schedules for equipment, facilities, common areas (e.g., washrooms, reception, lunchroom), and high contact surfaces (e.g., door handles, desk surfaces)
- Provision of hand washing facilities and alcohol-based hand sanitizers for patients and staff
- Use of Surgically Clean Air Jade Pod Air Purifiers in the entire office space
- Physical distancing among staff members by minimizing the shared use of workstations and equipment
- Reduction and staggering of patient appointments to accommodate physical distancing between patients
- Signage at the entrance of the office and within the office to assist with communicating expectations, such as hand hygiene, physical distancing, respiratory etiquette, reporting illness or travel history, occupancy limits and no entry if unwell or in self-isolation
- A transparent barrier at the reception desk to facilitate physical distancing between patients and staff
